Default F1R - Single Key and Pinned vs Double Key

So I had my motor recently rebuilt and put back in and my machinist only single keyed it. Now the dillema is do I have it broken down again and double keyed or follow what he is asking and leave the single key in and also pin it? I would prefer double key but not sure at this point. I will be running an F1R through a COG and putting down about 800 to 900HP at the tires.

Let me know your thoughts.. this really sucks..

Double key is the only way to go with a Cog, I have seen hubs break with single keys.

Hey post number 4000!

We did this recently too So instead of breaking down the motor we used 1 Key and 2 pins... Held up fine so far.

Double key it. I didn't double key my camaro and lost a balancer and tore up all kinds of stuff. I ran over the cog pulley destroyed a set of headers. .

I have one key and used this pinning kit 180 off. Worked perfect with my F1r cog setup, and i drive this on the street too. Only thing is if your crank is forged you will have to get a carbide drill bit.
The link below is the one i used.

Double all the way. I recently pulled my hub with a single key way and the pin actually dug into the hub and gouged it up.
