Default Boost leak around injectors!

I have a Victor jr carb intake that I drilled for injectors, I had 60lb in it, and upgraded to 80lb. Now its leaking around 2 of the injectors when I ran a boost leak test. Do they sell over sized O rings? The 60s didn't leak, but 2 of these do. Should I just add glue?

Were the 80s new? You may just need new seals. Lots of places sell seal kits with pretty much any sized O-ring out there. I bought some from FIC a while back that worked great.

I had the same problem switching to SD 80's. Katech sells oversize orings that will solve your problem

Yes they are new, I thank you guys for the info. I would ask for part numbers, but I will just take one with me to John Deer, or call FIC!

A Oring seal is measured by both its diameter and thickness. Some are metric, some are english
Go to a Parker/Gates hydraulics shop, they have a lot of different O-rings sizes.
You may need to use a slightly thicker one. Use a little oil to install them to avoid damaging the seal

I think the LS1 style used thicker gaskets than the LS3, so GM has 2 diff sizes-I might have it backwards, I know when I swapped injs. on my LS3 intake, I had to change o rings

Thanks a lot. I called FIC they said the 80s came with the 14mm O rings, which is the thickest they had, so I will check on the parker&gates, and any other place I can find thicker ones!

OD is not the issue, 80lb SD have a slightly smaller o-ring boss requiring an o-ring with a smaller ID

call to verify

I can vouch for the ones from katech. I'm using them on my ls6 intake with the Siemens deka 80lb injectors before the would leak bad when I did boost leak test now no issues at all.

Here's another option. You can get pretty much whatever you want.

I went to John Deer, Kubota, and Part Stores! Finally I just told the girl to give me injector O rings for a 2007 GMC Serria with a 6.0. Looked at the lower&upper O rings, and the upper ones seem to be thicker so I installed them. Didn't do a boost leak check yet got to go to work!

So how much psi was everyone losing? Was it a significant amount?

My 80s leaked when i put them in my fast rail. Took the orings from my stock injectors and rail and swapped em over to the 80s. Things have been fine ever since.
