Probably a dumb question but would 59cc 243s be bad on an l33? It's either that or a cleaned up set of 241s..

What about 706's on a forged rod and piston set-up? Stock stroke and bore. Want all the rwhp I can get. Mostly a track car very little street duty. Will the 317's bolt right on? I thought they were 4" bore heads

The 317's can't be just a 4" bore head, because Denmah had a set on a 4.8 some time back. Certainly not a great option, but he didn't realize it would lower the compression so much at that time.

I am about to find this out.
I made 846rwhp with a locked 4l80e with a BW S475r on stock 5.3 internals (05+ internals).
Just put LJMS .020 over wiseco -3.2cc pistons in with lunati h beam rods and upgraded to the 84mm billet wheel.
Will have to see what she makes but I'd say 1000-1100 is possible.

80@3 bar running them at 4 bar with lots of meth. 2x14gph nozzles.

New setup has Bosch/asnu 1650s to be able to run e85 and no meth.

good deal here. put a good set of BTR springs on them and they are good to go for 25 psi.

TFS as cast 220's on my 5.3. Had troubles keeping head gaskets sealed with 799's at around 950whp.

Had the 799's been milled? On my 96 Turbocharged Z28, with the stock ported LT1 heads, the car ran great but anything over 12 psi, it started pushing water. I ended up having to get TFS's for that. Now, I'm building a forged turbo 5.3 to replace the tired LT1 and I have CNC'd 243's. Hope I don't run into the issue you're seeing.

I pushed water with them both stock and milled .030. First time it had three layer MLS gm and second time it had Felpro MLS. With the TFS heads it has pushed again but not as bad and I had pushed it further with 30lbs and twin 66's and 18 degrees timing and Felpro again. I put LS9's on it and so far so good. Just pulled it apart again for a checkup, different cam, and some head work.
