I didn't go with V bands but I did go with 2.25" on the merge pipe.

HTC ceramic coating I had it done by a shop QC coatings out of MI.

I'm pretty sure it was $75-80 a side. They do them inside and out and came out really nice.

I had 3" lying around so I used it. I'm building a twin setup so I wasn't concerned with velocity as the distance the gasses have to travel is very short. I used 308 SS mig wire and did my best to keep the cracks to a minimum.

I pre heated the manifolds to 400 degrees and went to work. When I was done welding I threw them back in the oven for a few hours and slowly reduced the heat. I won't be able to see if they hold for another few months but hey.. They look good.

When we did these it was just a little miller maxstar but we just got a new miller dynasty 350 which is a badass welder
