I think the truck manifolds flow a little better on the low end but fall short of the ls6 on the top end. Everyone that i've talked to said that the LS6 is a better manifold for all around performance.

You can still use the truck fuel rails on an ls6 intake ,but you will have to cut the idler pulley off of the driver side alternator bracket. I used a 98 f-body water pump but some say that you can still use the truck water pump. Other than that every thing else should work fine.

In my opinion the LSX intake is a waste of money. It costs way to much and has yet to produce little to no gains over a ls6 intake. As far as fitment i always thought it would be a direct bolt or at the most you'll have to switch to a ls1 water pump like blacksheep said.

I have run the stock truck intake to 26 psi without any problems.
Have run the LS6 manifold at 25 psi also with no problem.
The truck intake would be best if you already have it.
