Awesome build guys! I ran into oil pressure fall off issues over 800rwhp, however my build was a LT4 vette and it used the oil filter adapter that I believe/hope was a part of the problem. Log your oil pressure. Mine would peak around 80psi and fall off to 40psi. This caused some bearing problems obviously. New twin build I deleted the oil filter adapter and fabricated everything to clear an HP4 Fram/wix racing filter. Haven't gotten it finished up to test yet. The cylinders were still perfect on tear down at 939rwhp. Main destruction was crank thrust (manual car) and some heat fractures in the crank and spun bearings. Pretty much same build with a few minor brand differences, eagle, Callie's caps, Ross custom pistons, 9.5:1.
How this helps and would be interested/releived to hear you aren't seeing the oil pressure drop reinforcing my suspicion of the vette filter adapter being a restriction on those fast rpm ramp ups during spool.

Man! If that car made that with those parts, I am very excited to see what mine does with a better setup!
Probably a solid month, maybe 2 before I have numbers, but I have a bit of more higher end parts than on this build.
None the less, awesome to see another wicked LT1 out there. Great job Tick!

Great job by the owner and Tick. I can imagine the surprised, hurt looks that one will get on the street.
I have an LT1 turbo being built at a local shop here. I hope it pulls as hard as this one.

Switching my water pump style from remote mounted down by radiator to back in waterpump casing should help keep it much cooler. Also putting a different cam in it.
We are geting it ready for the Virginia 1/2 mile shootout April 30th/March 1st

getting ready to put the motor back in, ended up spinning a bearing, had to get a new crank, 2 rods, 1 piston, set of lifters, 2 or 3 intake and exhaust valves and little machine work on the heads.

Even my wife knows about this car because I talk about it so much! Good luck!
