Default Spark Plug Question

hello people,

Need someone or some people to answer a question for me please

my car is a 2002 WS6 with 5.7 LS1. running a Vortec V9 SuperCharger, that
has the aftercooler kit on it. Car is running 10 Psi of boost.

Car has Platium Plugs in it right now!

I have had people tell me that i should be running Cooper plugs and other people have been telling me to stay with the Platium plugs.

I change my plugs every spring so I dont care if i have too with the cooper plugs.

Wanna know whats not going hurt my engine with the tune i have now since the car was set up with Platium plugs?

But want the best for performance

Apprectate you taking your time to read my post.

Take Care

I have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD with an LQ4 that has a ProCharger supercharger and inter-cooler along with Snow Performance water meth injection.
I just changed the plugs on my truck and ProCharger says that I must use copper plugs with a gap 0.032. They said normal heat range was okay or one hear range cooler would be good as well but with the water injection normal was best. The platinum plugs will "blow out" is what I was told, they will not work under hard boost and with water coming in on them.

I agree. TR6 gapped at .030. You will not need to retune anything.

There is NO downside to running a slightly colder plug if the tune is good. Those nonprojected br7ef plugs are excellent

Thanks.... I've heard good things about them from a few others. Was thinking of switching from my TR6's to them. Wanted some feedback. At what point is it better to go to the 7's. Looks like I'm at the threshold of it being a good move. I've heard the nonprojected tips are the way to go, reduced risk of chipping the plug insulator.

Nonprojected tips are always a good idea when boost/nitrous is in play. How much power are you making? The nonprojected tip and slightly colder plug will just give you more insurance against detonation.

I ran a tr6 when I first boosted the car. They were fine at 12lbs. I switched to br7s for the hell of it and they are fine. Non projected is a safer bet

I run the non projected 7's in my set up. Currently running 11psi but plan to run 20+. I haven't seen a downside to running the colder plug at all. Starts up and idles like it did with stock plugs in it.
