Thanks man!

I'll put it this way.

CHECK Your pushrod lengths, and Make sure your injectors are in good working order.

Amazing what compression and proper injectors that dont leak fuel will accomplish...

Glad you finally got it running. Sounds like it's fairly quiet.

Thanks 408gt, and you know, i thought the exact same thing, even went as far as trying to compare the start up videos of this car, to the last car, 5.3/S475 same exact downpipe off the turbo etc.

I really do think this car is much quieter... I guess i did something else wrong too, as usual.

I've had it running again and changed the oil again, i plan to have it driving by this time next week. Run trans cooler lines and mount gas pedal, bleed brakes and blammo! Road worthy!

Long enough to bottom out the lifter? How'd you wind up using them? Aftermarket cams have a smaller base circle to allow for more net lift so if anything one would need a longer push rod?

Very clean looking swap. Engine bay looks killer and it sounds even better.

I appreciate the kind words, i have been trying to clean it up recently, after the small fire i had, the fire extinguisher powder is a bit difficult to clean up...

im about out of excuses to drive her.. so after the rain goes away the next couple days, i'll try to get her out for some street driving and tuning, i wont be doing anything worthy of the gopro, but i'll probably put up a video anyway just to show that she does drive.

Tell you what, i fucked up again over the weekend.

I spent all day Saturday dealing with 3 leaks, Tranny cooler fitting, oil leak from the timing cover, and a water leak that turned out to be a HUGE affair...

hence why the tools everywhere in the vid.

i had the damn gasket on backwards on the timing cover... Yes, you can do that! lmao. **** i felt stupid, not afraid to share with you all though.

the coolant leak was a pin hole in my welding, all my coolant lines are aluminum tubes that i welded up, and could not get the upper to quit leaking... Still has a small pin hole in now, but not enough for me to rip it all back apart.

The cooler was just a couple loose AN fittings. But after 2 hours of idling on Sunday, and the only thing dripping was a pin hole in the upper coolant line, i was happyish...

So i guess next couple days with the **** weather, i'll probably tear the intake back off, give it a fresh coat of paint, along with the valve covers, and maybe bag off the engine and lines and jazz and spray some fresh paint in the engine bay, take a fresh stainless brush and brush the aluminum piping to give it a cleaner brushed look etc.

At least you're not affraid to try things and don't get too stressed out or anxious if things don't go right. It will be even sweeter in the end once it's all done.

Oh i get stressed lol. I just dont bring them on here until i find the problem, then i'll let everyone know what happened, and why.

I hope your right about the sweeter part lol.

If its one thing i've learned in the last few years, its to just take my time, sure i want to get out there right now and drive the tires right off it... But i'd rather get it out once i know it'll run right and more importantly, safely.

Thanks again for the kind words, they are appreciated.

Well guys and gals... Here she is...

"finished" for this years round of building and modz....

I drove the car tonight, hit 132kpa a couple times, I drove it, stopped to look probably 10 times, each time going farther and coming back to the driveway to look and inspect for leaks or whatever else...

Everything did go great, i have NO complaints or problems to fix that i can see. I will be driving farther tomorrow, about 10 miles each way... wow, right? lol, Such a long drive! haha

here are a few pics after i washed and shined her up before i took her out tonight.

I need to make my catch can lines, i'll be using -8 line as thats what my fitting are... Just need to go grab some in the morning... I'll probably drive to the speed shop in her to go get them...
