Default Budget Turbo LQ4 Cam selection

Hi guys. Im trying to decide which cam to get for my turbo LQ4 budget build. Already have ported 317's Brian Tooley springs and pushrods. I have been offered a 2001 ls6 cam for $125. I hear the specs are bigger on the 2002 and 2003 so i would really prefer that. 24x reluctor. Should I buy the ls6 cam or spend a lot more on a custom grind cam with larger specs? The ls6 cam will probably be a lot milder, which might be good because i will be running on the streets.
Any input appreciated

You can get a LS9 cam for around $100 from a dealership or vendor on here. But if you are looking for high numbers, just get a custom grind.

I was trying to avoid having to buy the cam sensor relocation kit to accomodate the ls9 cam. I found a guy who sold me a 2001 ls6 cam with decent turbo specs, and i wont have to relocate the cam sensor.

I was going to go LS9 cam until I talked to Martin from Tick.He told me the 9 works great for a pos. displacement blower but not so much for a turbo car.

Ls9 works better with square port heads too. Any cam will work better than the stock truck cam.

If you're on a tight budget, I always recommend the LS6 cam. It performs significantly better than the stock truck cam, and can be had for just over $100 usually.

LS6 cam > LS9 cam for a turbo engine.

It has to be the ultimate budget cam.
