I don't see how a long runner tunnel ram would hurt low end torque? Care to explain your take on this? That has always been the strength of the FAST. Long runners and fits under the cowl. Going to a single plane always meant gear and rpm because it shifts everything to the right. Now you have a common plenum long runner intake without the curvature of the FAST runners and your saying it's going to hurt low end performance? I thought it was the opposite.

Im not an expert but just sharing the results on my type of combos. That type of manifold pushed the rpm range higher meaning a slower response in spool time. Im sure someone with a heck of a lot more knowledge then myself will chime in with some more technical information.

im pretty sure the Fast will be ok up to 20psi...ive seen alot of people run them boosted. im just not the one thats willing to take a chance on one given my previous experiance with it.

im also not a fan of high rams b/c of the modifications....as little as they are...just not feeling it to squeeze out a few more ponies.

i run a stock l76....its done me well with my turbo set up at 8psi and now im running a F1a so we'll see how well it does with a lot more boost.

I'm running the FAST 90 as well and don't think twice about it. There are a bunch of "Nancy's" here that read 1 or 2 posts and freak out. I have read posts with the 90mm running 20 psi+ with silicone gluing the top and bottom together and not having problems. The 102 is "suppose" to be better yet. No way I would put a high ram or that style intake on a mostly street car. My car is awesome out of boost no way I'd sacrifice that for what???

Edit: high ram comment not for Alchemist.

Hi-ram are supposed to make BETTER torque than a FAST, so it would make it better out of boost, I think your confusing these with a short runner single plane.

Might be. I'm thinking a hi ram looks like a tunnel ram and would act similar. I could be wrong.

I've been on 24-26 lbs of boost for a little bit now with a Fast 90/90. This makes me concerned lol. After reading this, I'm not sure how mine hasn't went kaypooyaa yet. I'm sure it's been asked before but, does a proflo fit under a stock ws6 hood?

Yes if you trim the support on the underside.

Save yourself and sell that Fast before u grenade it. I've see 3 come apart off even lower boost. 2 of the were the latest Fast 102.

The amount of boost and RPMs will determine how much that intake will hold. People have the worst of luck with them and yet others with big o cubes have the best of luck. Pretty crazy. lol IMO You will be fine, I don't trust FAST intakes over 25psi. Other than that my choice would be a Holley Hi-Ram, great for high RPM ranges. Bad thing is your wipers will be gone.

I would love to run the Holley but I am really not sure if it would be possible without major changes to my set-up. I have the Spohn solid mounts and they have raised my motor a little bit. I don't want to trim my cowl back to the point of having to switch to a lexan windshield yet.

When I go into my 6-speed to th400 swap I considered just dropping the K-member enough to where I would just mount it directly to the 6-speed crossmember. Most guys run about a run inch spacer on top of their 6-speed cross members in order to bolt it up to the th400 tailshaft.
