Default Quick Procharger questions.

From what I've read ATI Procharger seems to have one of the best kits for an LS1. How much can i get a kit for, and what kind of 1/4 mile numbers can I expect on a basicaly stock LS1? I have a 10K budget to spend, and i need to go with a new 12-bolt with gears (2,500 bucks) and a new clutch. I havent decided to go with a Heads and Cam package yet, or to go with a procharger.

Power and 1/4 MPH is relative somewhat to boost. The max on a stock motor is around 10#'s. I safer more reliable amount (no slipping, etc) is probably 8#'s. Probably get you to 450 rwhp and deep into the 12's with a stock motor. Cost for that set-up is probably $5500. You'll need the kit, injectors, fuel pump, gauges, tuning etc.

H/C, headers easier to deal with and tune (not as cool though) probably less $$ over all. But would probably only yield about 375-380 rwhp and probably mid 12's

If you cant hit 11's with a procharger/12 bolt/gears/tires there is something extremely wrong with your driving. My friend is running 12.5's with Duals, headers, lid, FTRA, nittos, and shifter.

Whaaaaat?

I can go with a cam only car and hit 10's if i dont want it to be streetable. With Cartek's Stage II H/C package I'm looking at around 3-4K plus install, plus I'd be running mid to low 11's with a streetable car. If i can only hit mid to low 12's with a procharger I'd be better off going with the H/C package. Plus it would be cheaper too
