Default LSX Swapped SN95 with a S476R /TH350, time to build a track car

I have this posted in the hybrids and conversions section as well, but I figured it is applicable here/ i will get more FI point of view answers to questions I may have in here, so here goes..

I figured its about time to get moving on a build thread for my new (new to me) car. I really like having the 6sp in my Trans Am, but I really like the track. This presents a problem.

Enter Yellow car:

found some OEM 03-04 cobra wheels on CL for cheap, couldn't take the mismatched wheels (no engine in it here)

1995 Mustang GT, bought it off of my friend for $1000. Engine ran fine but the trans was blown. He lost interest in it and it was sitting for a while. Original plan was to fix the trans and get it running for something my girlfriend could drive around in.

Pulled the trans and found out it was going to be like $900 to fix. So i did the only rational thing; Pulled everything apart. After selling the engine and trans core, i ended up getting the car for $100

Then started taking a metric **** ton of weight out of it:

Then it was time to start dumping money down the toilet.

Turbo is an S476 "Gangsta" by Forced Inductions

Trying the whole "junkyard" route. When it pops, it will get forged guts. Engine is a 60k mile 6.0L
- Chinese head studs
- Speed INC TU2 cam
- LS7 Lifters
- LS2 chain
- 317 heads with BTR dual springs

pretty stock otherwise…. other than the Ford blue paint job

Will also be doing a full Cobra conversion to make Mustang people even more upset. Car will probably be going for paint in the next couple months as well as soon as the 4ft snow bank melts. I'm on the fence between SOM, Electron blue and Cyber gray.

Engine management will be the Holley EFI. Fuel system will be a Glenn's performance sumped tank with the dual Holley pump setup, 80LB injectors etc etc. Starting to collect suspension parts now. I want to run a 9 with the junkyard motor and an 8 when i don't care anymore in the fall/when the motor is forged.

I will keep this updated as I go along. My friend will be building the turbo kit shortly, should hopefully be starting this coming weekend.

Badass build! That intake is a monster huh? The thing should fly when its done.

The car would look good in any color really. I love the Sonic blue, and Mystic colors Ford offered.

Really leaning on this look, but for wheels I think I'm going with some Billet Specialties streetlights

Since you painted the motor Ford blue you might as well paint the car GM Sunset Orange Metallic.

Certainly feels great to have a project to work on. Very therapeutic to go out in the garage and turn wrenches.

Very interesting build. I think you should go two tone with the electron blue and cyber grey.

Love it. You'll be able to really make some people upset with this one.

Got some more progress done this weekend

starting to really look like something:

As it was when we wrapped up last night, just have to finish welding the last part of the crossover/plumb waste gates then we can start on the downpipe

Very happy where we ended up with how the kit is laid out. Now for me to be in the same state long enough to finish it. This Saturday maybe?
