I want to hear those turbos threw those headers!!
I got a Lambo Diablo kit car with an LS and I really want something more exotic sounding~

If you cant afford a Porsche gearbox, then I'd fit an Audi 01E. I own a WRX and the gearbox is the weakest thing, even the STI 6 speeds are not going to take the lbs of a turbo V8 and there $2500 and up.

All the best for the build, i saw a Audi V8 conversion on a 328 once for sale, I do regret not buying it as im sure it would be way better than the original motor...

The turbos are 57mm forget all the specs on them (chinese stuff for test fitting and testing)
Im going to be keeping the power low for awhile so I'm hoping the trans will last a little while. later I might build this one, buy a 6 speed, an 01E, G50, or 930 box. I'm a now really broke college student!
Thats the last of the flux!! I got too excited to wait and use one of the TIGs at school, I go to McPherson College getting a bachelors in Automotive Restoration. To be honest I'm anxious to hear the sound of the 180* headers and twins. All the V-bands and waste gate flanges will be TIG'd. Im also working on the rest of the car. I had to replace all the brake components, make a new door skin from scratch and still have both quarters and some other rust to deal with. Interior needs a lot of work too.

The header tubes look very large diameter for such long headers, bound to affect spool.
Also with regards to the Subaru 6 speed. I know and can see from the pictures you can shorten the 5 speed.
But I dont think that is possible with the 6 speed in the same way as the centre diff is integral to the main casing, so much longer. That might present problems with it sticking out the rear.
But cool build for sure.

Stunning project! have you thought about using the prosche G50 gearbox? The ultime GTR guys have been using them for years and they are pretty robust. The newer 996 and 997 gearbox are even strong er and give you 6 speeds also.
On the turbos, What do you plan on doing for chargecooling? Have you considered mounting the turbos in a similar location to Hennessy with their Venom? Also whats the reason for using cross over headers if you are not using a divided housing?
keep up the great work.
Chris.
