Ive always been intrigued by how a radically different than stock header configuration can change the sound of an engine. That sounds awesome! I cant wait to hear it when its in the car, pushing through turbos and all smoothed out!

Im gonna guess that heat wrap will be the only thing keeping the IAT from cooking haha. I was wondering if you were going to protect the TB area from the crossover section. That car is going to be FUN.

I too thought some of the inner frame work was "interesting" looking. But Ive seen some other "exotic" cars with even weirder looking work. One thing is for sure...it lets the average joe work on them and fix them up Pretty much any of us could do weld repairs on chassis like that!

Great work!

I'm thinking about adding flex tubing but the mounts are pretty solid. I seriously made the the headers with just a cut off wheel and a flux core mig. problem was I had to put them together and apart so many times they kind of rose up on me and i didn't notice till i was done. Ive made some more progress but i don't have many pics.... but here are some.. i need to post a new video too!

Not knocking your build at all, but isn't the intercooler being directly over and seemingly almost touching the downpipes going to give pretty bad heat soak? I am sure you are working with some severe space constraints, but just my first thought. Even bagged and wrapped it looks pretty close.

Yea Im toying with different ideas on the best way to do it, but this is all I have so far. I don't real want to run tubing all the way to the front. Ive thought about running twin water to airs in the corners behind the rear tires... It has a stock cam. Everything is stock right now except the exhaust and intake. I just want it running and then I can change what I need to!! lol

Awesome build man!

If it was me, Id def go for water to air I/C's. Possibly, like you said, tucked into each side, with a heat exchanger up front or something (Dont know alot about how these cars are setup)

One other thing, are those turbos internally gated? Just didnt see any wastegates.

One nice part about a couple of air to water is they don't rely as heavily on airflow to stay cool and will resist heat soaking. You can also have a remote heat exchanger somewhere with a fan so it stays cool even when sitting. That is what I did on mine.

I vote for the water to air also. I think it will be more efficient and will clean up the look under there a lot.

You can get some of the "ebay" ones for pretty cheap. I am using a frozen boost one and have been very happy. But I imagine that any of the ebay ones would be just fine. I have used them in several applications with good results.

Holy thread revival!

I see some tuning issues in the future with those small downpipes. You may have to temporarily have to extend them and mount a sensor in there.

Why? Put an innovative o2 sniffer in the end and start tuning... 2000hp sandrails have downpipes short like that too. Tell those guys they are doing things wrong lol.
