Little updates. I am back on leave and eager to get some work done on this thing. Got the wheel straight and the aftermarket steering wheel on, hood is on, painted the cage, got a new top waiting to go on, AC delete panel and tomorrow the interior will go back in. I also picked up a new toy, a 1978 Chevy Malibu. I love it so far.

 

Love the G-bodies! Glad to see you could make it home for the holidays.

 

Well another year home by and I still find myself in Afghanistan but home on leave again. Got a bunch of work done this time and a bunch of parts ordered. Got another 10 days and should get more done also. Big thanks to everyone who helped me along the way you know who you are.




All of this wiring has been removed from the bay and redone under the dash.

I love the hot side plumbing with the wastegates facing each other.

That is some cold side, man. At first glace I thought your radiator was an A2A intercooler, feeding into a A2W intercooler mounted on the passenger firewall.

Really happy to see progress being made on this beast. It is going to be epic when completed. Keep up the good work.

Car comes back tomorrow from my buddies house and I'll get that cowl cut out before I head back to Afghanistan and get the engine in place and all mocked up.

 

Thank you for your service from another Afghanistan veteran! Car is looking great! I remember the feeling on how bad I wanted to get home and start wrenching on the car.

Got the car back to the house and the Holley showed up. Also got the cowl cut out and got some more things in order.

 

 

Got it set in place test fitting everything.

Saved roughly 20lbs from cutting out the cowl, pin on Hood and the after closing it back up. Between the wiring, cowl and trunk I shed 100lbs and still have to remove the front speakers and some other stuff.
