Default AEM UEGO Sensor Installation?

Newb question. Where are you guys installing the UEGO O2 sensor? Ive read some places where its 18" from the exhaust port and some places said downstream from turbo because of pressure reasons?

Any pointers or tips or ideas that I should consider?
Thanks a lot!

A quick search would have come up with plenty of opinions. 18-24 inches from the turbine in the down pipe.

I did a search and it came up with both options on how to do it. Since its my first turbo build I didnt know which method to go with (18" from exhaust port or 18" from turbo). So I have to tap into the down pipe for the O2 sensor? Thanks for the info!

O2 sensors should be in the exhaust pipes pre-turbo. If possible put the o2 sensors in each respective bank of pipe before the turbo.

So AEM O2 sensor should be in down pipe and the regular O2 sensors should be in header pipe pre turbo? I am just trying to understand what your saying.......

Yes. Wideband UEGO in downpipe, normal narrowband o2 sensors in each pre-turbo pipe.

What you should do is sell the UEGO and buy an NGK wideband. My UEGO worked well at first but its been reading leaner and leaner. I compare it to my tuner's and his is always spot on while mine tends to fluctuate.

But the wideband should be in your downpipe

For the price of the NGK over the AEM I think Ill pass. I havent really heard any complaints about AEM. Most high HP output cars use AEM so I'll stick with what I have. But I appreciate your input though!

The O2 sensors and the wideband are 2 different things.

Wideband should go after the turbo, especially if you're using a single one, to get a reading from all 8 cylinders.

Yep.
Not sure if you were agreeing with me or trying to correct me. Widebands is in downpipe, narrowband o2s are pre-turbo
