Curious if this sensor will plug into the Holley HP LS1 harness, looks like it should
Will it read correct from one of the drop down selections or does it have to go to a custom one (in which case I am screwed, lol)

It plugs in. Reading it.. im sure I have to input values
im unsure who sells a TRUCK style 3 bar, i dont like the clip in mounts anyway, i always rip the rubber isolator out, and put a vac hose on, and then put it to a vac source on the intake, much easier

Just did the same thing on my S10.
Stupid rubber thing fell off in the intake, never dealing with that **** again
I have this same 3 bar map sensor. I bought it because several references here and elsewhere were positive. However, in my setup (purpose built all forged 5.3 w/PT7675 Turbo) while it starts, idles and runs fine below 104 KPA, it is doing the weirdest thing at 105kpa. I have the AEM Tru Boost Controller setup in my car (96 Z28) and it has been in place since 2008 when I had the LT1 with the a TC76 and the current PT7675. Worked great and I know it's all setup correctly.
I've been tuning the car with my HP Tuner Pro and, since it's a new motor, I've been sneaking up on the boost regions, driving and logging, applying my histograms to the VE etc. Now that that area is working fine, I've been tickling the low boost areas, or that is, trying to do that.
Here's what happens;
While in 3rd gear (TH350) and about 50mph, while watching the boost gauge on the pillar, I press the gas pedal just aggressively enough to get out of vacuum and start into the boost area, then gently beyond that.
The display reboots, as if I'd just turned on the key to start the car. WTH?
I see at the same time, my PLX wideband goes to 10.x A/F ratio
I try the whole routine again and it repeats the same behavior.
When I get back to the house, I download the log/scan to excel and see that it NEVER goes above 105 kpa.
Now, if the AEM tru boost never reset, I would assume I had a pressure leak on the cold side since the kpa never exceeded 105. Truth is, it actually is running pretty strong at that point, not falling on it's face. But it's going pig rich at the 105 kpa point.
Anyone else seen anything like this?
I think I'm going to order another sensor and see if anything changes.
I have the plug and play EFI Source sensor as well. I just started my new combo up the other day (5.3 S475) after modifying my old tune for 3 bar, using EFI's values, and the FIC injector info. Truck fires right up, hot or cold and ides like a champ. However with even the smallest touch of the throttle sitting still, the motor goes straight lean and even to the point it dies. I'm a newbie at tuning but I don't believe the the map is picking up the change in airflow but need to do further checking to make sure. When I get off these stupid 12 hour shifts at work, I'll be checking out the map data to see if im correct but it seems logical. I've noticed several people on here with bad ls1 style sensors from EFI this year, possible bad batch?
I wonder about that too. I just ordered another 3bar from Speed Inc and will try it when I get back from Dallas.
Well, found the AEM Tru boost issue. I'd rerouted the harnesses over the weekend and the leads going to the Tru boost solenoid got too close to a header primary and shorted it when the solenoid was activated at 105 kpa and above. Got that resolved.
Still trying to figure out why the VCM scanner wont show any kpa above 105 even though I have the 3 bar map sensor defined everywhere (Charts, graphs and gauges). Hopefully the new sensor will provide some answers.
I have a FleaBay brick style 3 bar as a backup already so I'll report back after I've done some logs and gathered more info before I try switching to it .
I have a brand new one of those too, but due to the 'hoarder' type way I have things organized in my shop, damned if I can find it. Ugh.... Best of luck to you!
BTW, are you using HPTuners for your tune upload/modifications?
Please forgive me if I ask obvious questions....
If so, what version of HPTuners are you using?
Do you have your MAF enabled in the diagnostics so it will test for the MAF, not find it, throwing it into SD mode?
Yes I am using HPT and using version 3.X. I have my maf unchecked and all 3 setup to fail on first error. The word I got was if you set it no mil light, it won't fail the maf using 3.0.... idk if it's true or not but that's the word I got from HPT forum.
I had problems when I uploaded the tune with 3.0. Now that 3.2.55 is out, it works fine.
I guess we need clarification. I had all mine unchecked and had issues. I had checked just one (P0102) and with the MIL on first error. I just modified it to add the additional checked items and No MIL before I sent the image.
If you don't mind, download 3.2.55 , check the P0102 Enable and set it to MIL on first error, upload that and see if that cures the issues you're having?
I assume your Linear and offset are 305/10.33.
Thanks,
Dave

I'll give it a shot man and yes that's the values I'm using. EFI is stand up company from everything I've seen and I hope it's me/tuning and not the sensor since I like the plug and play factor of it... and already bought it lol.
mightyquick.... I would be checking all the grounds in your system. Thats what it sounds like to me. Especially since it is losing connection with the pcm when you do this.
I have mine setup unchecked and no mil light. I've always had it setup like that. I'm using the latest 3.0 version hpt now also without any issues. In the new scanner make sure you use the generic sensor and not the 3 bar map sensor. Also delete anything maf related in the Channels table. Then check to see if you can log above 105kpa. I also have been using the EFI source 3bar map sensor for a few years now without any problems.
