Default Threaded IAT sensor

I saw this a while back on here but couldn't find anything. Someone mentioned an IAT sensor that had pipe threads on it, so you could mount it into the inter cooler pipe easier. Does anyone know which vehicle this came from?

Also does it plug into the LS1's stock connector?

The stock IAT sensor in the LS1 F-body is 3/8" NPT threads. Bought this from summit and welded it in... Worked great and reused my original sensor.

I always wondered this. Been using a rubber grommet with the stock sensor(Very Tight seal) which didn't have threads IIRC. Will be picking up a bung and GN IAT sensor.

I've always wondered if it would be possible to have the threaded IAT sensor also output to the temp display in the rear view mirrors that are in some of the GM trucks/SUVs so that I can see real time IAT's just by looking at the mirror. If this is possible, then I would have the possibility to log IAT's and also a real time display of IAT's in the rear view mirror temp display. Anyone ever done this?
