NW 102mm Throttle Body Doing some research on these for use with Whipple 2.9. Reading about an issue with forced induction applications. In fact, at least one vendor says:
"These throttle bodies are a great upgrade for naturally aspirated builds. We advise against using them in forced induction vehicles. "
Was wondering if the latest iteration has rectified these problems. Anybody know anything? Real world experience?

I pulled this quote from another forum partially explaining the issue.
"They aren't actually sucking shut. The internal gears, being plastic, flex as air hits the larger throttle blade. The pcm reads this movement on the tps and knows its not supposed to move, so it slams the tb closed and puts the engine into safe mode to prevent engine damage."
I know that this was being worked on but I haven't found where it was definitively addressed\fixed.
This is the DBW version.

I haven't heard of any problems with the cable driven throttle bodies. As far as the drive by wire models, the gears were supposed to be changed to metal to address this issue. I haven't been able to find any corroborating information though. Hope somebody will chime in. I'm not dropping 570 for a throttle body until I know for certain I can use it.
The 102nw works great on a roots style blower. We make a 4.5" intake for the ctsv's and have seen gains of 42whp / 64ftlbs with only a 102 tb and intake tube change. Depending how hard the whipple is being pushed I could see whipple gaining even more.

Put one on an F1X car but no real feeback as we haven't done any runs with it. I am aware of the "no good for boost" thing but we decided to try it anyways just cause 1 person had an issue.
