6L80 for a boosted 6.0L

new to the forum, Any great ideas along with using a 6L80 tranny on a twin turbo'd 6.0L? Use as stand alone or get a ecu to handle it also

There is a guy, member on this forum. (62naldie) that pushed his 6L80e around 800HP on a boosted full size 4 door truck setup on a stock PCM if im not mistaking. Tranny held up like a champ.

i want to do one ,, and heave rear gear of something stupid like 1.xx gear ratio..take full advantage of that steep first gear.. and bang out some mpg ..

and im not aware of any standalones for the 6l80e ,, you will have to use the factory ecm , and harness .. tcm is in the trans ..

Thanxs for all the responses, I will cross that bridge when I get there. I have a built turbo 350 in my blown car, the extra gear should help

Do yourself a favor and use a 4L80 instead. Getting a 6L80 to hold up to big power is a challenge and costly, not to mention the controller issues.
This assuming you are not building a TT car to baby it.
