Buy or Build Short Block????

hey gang,
i was wonderign form those of you have have very built up turbo motors. is it cheaper or easier to buy an engine to to build one?
i do live in new jersey, about 45mins from cartek who have a good reputation for makign strong stuff.
do you think it woudl be worth my trouble to build a motor up syself or jsut plunk down teh cash and pick it up when it is ready?
i want the engine to be reliable above all else. i have helped build a few older pushrod motors before, so i know i can get it together. but the reliability adn total cost has me wondering.

Sounds like you have a good local option to use, ie. Cartek.

You can have them build you a short block, or you can build it on your own.
