Only reason I owned a mustang is that my cousin sold it to me super cheap. It was a convertible and looked nice. But now i almost have my dream car. I really want an 02 ws6 tho

All you guys need a hobby. it's not like you guys can't take the time that you used to dis this guy to make some suggestions. Also don't be so quick to dis the GP I had a 91 pont sunbird with home ported heads, cam and 150 shot that would put the smack down on stock GTs and F-bodys all day long.
People used to say that you couldn't run FI on LS1s and we proved them wrong.

As far as the GP goes if your gonna do it do right. You could use a SC off a GTP or supercharged bonniville but your gonna need the pcm and alot of the engine controls. I'd suggest looking online and through junk yards to find a complete motor and PCM, harness. If you decide to stick with the motor you have now you could have superchips burn you a custom tune for it. Find out what the compression the motor is if it's real high you'll have to drop the compression but i don''t see it being very high in that car. If you do have to drop the compression the easyest way would be to pull the heads off and have your local head porter open up the chambers a little.
Another way you could bo would be to have a shop fab up a custom turbo kit for it.

yes, there entry level superchargers for SOHC mustangs that requires no upgrades in the fuel system. and with exhaust, it should be a little faster than a stock LS1. that sucks, but then again....6 lb kits for mustangs are cheap compared to LS1 kits.

Well i'm obviously biased but yes i think a turbo would be better on your setup because there more efficent and don't take power away from the engine to drive. Your motor don't make a whole lot of power to begin with and using a percentage of that to drive a SC is just that much less it'll make. I think somone makes a kit for the GP but i'm not sure who, I'll check and see if i can find any info.

What I don't understand is what you mean by doing too much. What is your definition of "too much". It's going to take time and effort no matter what.

Oh wait...I just found this.

With 380whp And a weight of around 3000lb with nittos up front, I'd like to see a bolt on ls1 beat it.

"we were able to put down 388 horsepower at the wheels! This works out to approximately 485 engine horsepower! That is an increase of 285 hp over stock! (link to stage 4 dyno chart) Our best 1/4 mile ET to date has been an 11.78 at 116.17 mph!"

If you could get the same performance "if" which isnt likely i would say so. But even if you could get in the low 12's i would say it was also.
