LS1 intake versus LS6 intakes

LS1 intake versus LS6 intakes There are a lot of threads saying to go with an LS6 intake over a FAST intake. What about an LS1 intake versus a LS6 intake. Is there much of a power difference? Are the LS6 intakes stronger? I still have my old LS1 intake. Thanks

The differences are going to vary greatly between every single boosted combo that no direct comparison can be given. That being said the LS6 will still outperform the LS1 across the board.
The BBK intake is a good alternative to the LS6. Priced similar and makes a little more power and torque.

Verdad Gallardo Where did I say anything directed towards you? I was just posting examples of fast LS1 cars. I have an LS6 intake on my car, the only reason I do is because I stumbled on it for $100.

Yeah I read it wrong. I thought it was kind of a reply to me since I posted right before.
True. I can be really passive aggressive on here, but I actually wasn't this time. Lol. Stevie's comment made me lol, there really isn't a massiv difference between the two when you're talking boosted. I picked up 2mph in the 8th when I switched, but I did some other stuff too, and it was one different days.
The LS6 intake is worth 15hp on a 5.7 NA, but you don't start seeing gains until 3500rpm so it might not show up much in mild boosted stuff. I have the LS1 intake myself that will go on my turbocharged station wagon, just not worth the cost of the LS6 when I already have the LS1. Maybe when I get the engine built I will borrow a LS6 intake and see if it does anything on dyno with mild boost.

Boost is a measurement of restriction, meaning you'll make more power with less boost on a given engine with ported heads and better intake manifold than you will with the same engine with factory heads and poorer flowing intake manifold.
Same is true with a more efficient engine NA will make more power with boost on top of it. How else would v10 lambos be making 1800+ hp? They start with 600+hp opposed to 300hp out of a typical ls small block with a mild camshaft.

I think the two intakes will be very close unless the engine is very big or power is very high. I doubt a typical 8-900hp engine would see any difference worth noting at those levels.
