I'm doing a 2000 6.0, turbo, and have 2 sets of exh manifolds. 1 set off the 2000 3/4 ton trk, and 1 set off a 99 4.8 1/2 ton trk. 2 1/2 or 2 1/4 outlets. The 4.8's are in great shape right down to the studs. I'm thinking of going with the 4.8's, 2 1/4 hotside. What's your opinion?

2-1/4 will help spool over the 2-1/2.
I used 2-1/4 on mine and fitment was good from vband to manifold.

These are 5.3 truck manifolds that I welded v-bands on, I used 2 1/4" pipe.

I was going to stick with the factory flange. I'll use a flex joint in the hot side piping.

I sand blasted them and coated them with vht .
