As soon as the car was back together I ended up with a set of these! So now I keep going over whether to go ahead and do them or just wait till the end of the season :-/

Thank you very much sir! I have the same rails as well, just didn't know how the hood did when it wasn't being supported by my windshield lol.

Looks really good and like something I might just have to do!

Also, because I think they're similar, here's my setup! I've recently changed my fuel setup completely, so my new rails/reg/line setup is a bit different.

Car looks good bud. The hood does fine, it lifts just a tad at interstate speeds other then that no flexing. Though I'm fixing to get rid of my wipers so I wish the hood still went all the way back.

One big positive about it being cut is, it definitely rids of a lot of engine bay heat.

Well took the car to streetcar takeover in okc this weekend and had a blast. Beat the thing up Friday night on the streets, took it to the track Saturday, first time I've had it at the track. Had issues right off the bat. Line lock wouldn't work and bump box wouldn't work. Naturally once in the pits it all worked fine. But around the 1000' mark it started knocking so it's coming back apart now.

Well what I figured was a bearing noise ended up being a lobe down on the camshaft.

Yeah it does! It's not as bad as I was figuring but I'm still going to have to do new bearings and have the crank polished. At least it's not as expensive as I figured it was going to be.

It's been sometime since I updated. The car has been back together since October. It went back together with a new top end. Ljms stage III cam, prc 2.5 cnc heads,head studs, ls7 lifters and a 105 mm highram and a 105mm tb. Oh and a callies crank! .. all is well just waiting on a better tune and some more take time. . So far 9.63 @ 127 on 11psi ... plenty left in it..but a long way to work.
