Default Cogs are toast, SD is the new start....

I threw in the towel for the COGS........no more for me......

I just put down the deposit for the SD stuff......

I have faith in the design of the setup......

I'll be taking off my bracket today and sending it in.......

My standoffs are perfectly alinged for an 8 rib kit, I almost went for the ATI damnper, but I'm short on $.......so I'll just pin this to the stock balancer like I did w/the COG stuff.....

7.25" crank pulley and 3.2" blower pulley, this is meant to max out the D-1SC, so hopefully w/no belt slip, I'll see some boost and some power and have a running car that I don't have to change the belt on every 100 miles.....

----> Hunting for boost........

Cool, good to know. I got your PM I hope it goes through. I am also tired of these pulley set ups. I am on my third and hopefully my last. I am really confident in SDCE design, I will be putting it to the test real soon

Man, you've been through the ringer and back again with these cogs. You're one of the reasons we decided to switch to a turbo setup.

Good luck with the SD setup - I hope it all works out in the end!

Good luck,

I know we're all pretty excited to get this setup on and tested thoroughly. I truly hope it lives up to the hype. Can't wait to see how you big boosters push this setup. I have faith it will handle it.

Are you returning the cogs or selling it?

That was a very cool move. Is he going to continue to sell these kits, or going in another direction?

I would have no problem buying from ASP knowing that they back their product up like this.

Yes, I'm sure he is going to still sell them, he is helping mark currently with the new idler deal, I just don't have the time to sit around and do more R&D.....It will be interesting to see what they come up with, and I'm also curious to see how 1dirtyz does as well

I need boost and I need it NOW

I hope the SD stuff works out well.........

Lee@ASP is a good guy

Still Running COGS here...

13,000 miles in 15 months.. 8 Cogs belts have taken a crap!!!

8 x 31 bucks = 248 bucks in 1 1/2 years. Okay. I have fixed my problem with the Bracket flexing topo much.. Belts are lasting longer now but still need a spring tentioner...

Sorry COGS didn't work out for you.

Bos, sorry to here that but I completely understand. Yes..Lee seems to be very responsive right now I told him several people were having problems. I should have the longer belt tomorrow to get some measurements for an extra idler. Good luck with the SD Set-up, I know you'll keep us posted.

Clint, Have you had any trouble at the track or playing hard on the road? I too can drive all day without belt slip like a granny on Sunday after church . Secondly, Lee strongly advised against a spring loaded tensioner to me.....centrifical force likes to "throw" these belts off the teeth...so a tensioner would give in to that concept quicker. Just food for thought.

Well Lee has been great with you guys, he's a very nice guy...

In the end it's a matter of getting belt wrap, pulley size, and a tensioner setup that all works.

I'm running a manually adjustable solid tensioner.
