I think it has more to do with where the wastegate pipe is located on the merge, but the 44mm flange might help you a bit with it. Mine only creeps a few PSI close to 6k RPM so it's nothing I'm overly concerned about.... the motor has stayed together so far lol!

I was thinking of not tapping my oil pan but instead using a T like fitting to go where the oil plug is. What do you think?

My understanding is that on the oil return it has to dump back into the pan above the oil level in the pan or you run into issues with the oil foaming. I could be wrong but I think I have read that on here before. Maybe someone else can chime in..

Ideally you would want it above the oil level. Here's how I like to set them up:

This is using a -10 AN weld on bung.

I see, thanks. I'm running an aluminum oil pan so I'm going to have to just have seals on both sides of the pan with a lock nut. Or I can take it to someone and have it welded

You can weld it, or drill and tap the pan for the fitting also!

So I hit a wall. I can't drop the oil pan because I do not have a cherry picker. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Yes for the drain.

Also the guy I bought the kit from can't tell me what size spring I have for the wastegate. It's there a color combo I can check against?

if you take the intake off and unbolt your motor mounts, you can jack the motor up the to cowl and get the pan out. I was lazy, left the intake on and jacked the motor up until it the cowl. I was able to move the pan into a better position that made it easy to drill and tap.

Jack it up from the crank pulley and leave the trans connected

I bought a huron kit. He told me if the spring is Red it's 12lbs and Blue is 8lbs.

Tap into the drivers side for oil drain. I tapped into passenger and I regret it.

Which brand wastegate do you have?

The XSPower 44mm, I did my research and found that it comes preinstalled with the 8.0 and comes with the 12.0. I cant really tell if it's red or not looks like a rust balck color to me

So I have the opportunity to make a great upgrade in daily drivers and still haven't made any progress on this build. That said, I am looking to possibly sell all of the parts I have for this if it means making the dd upgrade.

Given that the turbo kit is almost entirely complete (minus FMIC) and would come with manifolds, Derale fans, and all the parts I have for the fuel system, how much would it all be worth? I am not looking to part out anything because unless I can sell everything complete, I do not want to get rid of it.

I have a Formula Firehawk and I have been looking at turboing it. I would like to buy a kit that is absolutely complete. When I say complete I mean complete from the k member to the boost controller. I also want to retain the AC and use a set of the stainless log style headers from HS. What all other parts would I need to add to your kit to do this?

In order to do all of that you would need a completely different setup than mine unfortunately. Mine uses truck manifolds and requires the removal of the ac. You could relocate the ac compressor but that's a lot of money to do so.
