I'm not exactly sure what your asking.

Where did you pick up the Express van from in Chicago? And if you don't mind me asking, how much was the van? I've been watching some of the auctions in Harvey and Markham trying to get a good idea on price when the time comes.

Build looks good so far! Thanks!

I was saying that your surge tank from howe would fit nicely where I have the room for one. And then also asking if anybody thought that that heat exchanger from frozen boost would work good for a cooler for the 4l80e.

I have 2 ports on each tank on the lt1 radiator. I am assuming one side is for the trans, and one is engine oil cooler? I was wondering if I should still run the trans through the radiator, and then to external cooler, or just straight to the external cooler.

I found the engine and trans on craigslist for 1k. It was still in the van with a crusty fuse box. He was able to get it running jumping one of the fuses. I offered 1500 for the whole thing and then sold and scrapped everything I didn't need, (and some things I did need).

Drove 930 miles straight back in the fleetwood with no issues. Gonna try to sell it for a few weeks for a profit up here in the rust belt. If it don't sell (almost hope it don't), I will put the lt1 in the crapice and the turbo lq4 in the fleetwood.

I am going to extend the pcm harness to the trunk. Been talking with eficonnection about extension wires with the female pin already crimped on. Cut the female pins I have off and solder the extension wire on. What about a male pin on the other end instead of soldering. Just connect them together and heat shrink it. Is that any better or worse than soldering? Would be way faster.

Also, since this drivetrain will most likely end up in the fleetwood, and the crapice doesn't have a cruise switch, can I wire the cruise with some toggle switches instead of getting a real switch? One off/on, and then one momentary up and down?

If I can do it for a few bucks with switches instead of a real switch, I will do it. Otherwise I can live without cruise for a while.

I almost like the sleeper aspect with the lace wheels and white walls. I've seen a bunch of guys paint "white walls" onto drag radials to keep the stealth level. Actually, isn't there a white twin turbo 383 LT1 Fleetwood (maybe Roady) out there putting down like 550 whp?

Thought about it.... I really like the ss wheels on the fleetwood, though.... It's a sleeper no matter how you look at it.

Yeah, saw the twin turbo 383 fleetwood. Twin 57mm I believe.

After swapping a few things from extremely rusty to a tx car, I am thinking the crapice was only a good mock up vehicle. I can probably part the crapice out for near what I have in the fleetwood.....

So project "budget" went out the window a while ago....
I picked up some c7 vette wheels, and a 9" moser with 3.73 and wavetrac. Been talking with tobin @ kore3 about some Z06 brakes. About got that squared away.

Also bought another fleetwood... just for the mint black interior. Swapped the blue from the white car into the craplac. Havent reinstalled the black interior into the white car yet. Gonna do an 8 pt. Also redoing the turbo kit with some c6 manifolds and air water intercooler.

Its still a budget build. The budget just went way up!

There is so much more room doing it this way. Turbos are propped in the general location. Air water in between engine and radiator. Gonna be pretty easy to get 3" downpipes out the back with dumps, and then mate to the factory exhaust.

i'm trying to do a very similar twin setup on my monte carlo. i have c6 manifolds, but may use a cts-v manifold on the driver side for a little more clearance at the master cylinder (the merge is more toward the front, rather than the center.) i've recently read that my camaro accessory drive will not clear my 600 series steering box though, so i may have to go with the ugly truck drive.

the extra idler pulley under the alternator...what is that from?

Since it actually warmed up a bit, I went out in the garage. Got the driver side tacked, but I don't like it.

I want the pipe lower and more parallel with the engine. Which means tighter radius stuff. I have used chassis shop donuts before, and they were great. But found these donuts on ebay. Anybody have experience with them? A 1/3 of the price of chassis shop.

I emailed to see what gauge, got an immediate email back, and he wasn't sure.

Crapice is gone and the fleetwood is in the garage. LT1 delete almost complete. Sold the LQ4/trans and got a LY6, built 4l80e, and a bunch of schedule 10 stainless bends. Put a vette wheel under the car to see if it would fit and what it would look like. It's tight, but it fits.
