Jesus, 146 mph on 14.5 lbs? That's nuts. Can you post the time slip? I want to see the incrementals and the 1/8th mph. Congrats btw.

Since last weekends track days were canceled I had a friend that bought my billet 4l60 converter and trans from me and I put a powerglide in I had for my notch. Other than that I didn't touch the boost or timing.

I may try a few degrees added sometime but I feel comfortable with the more boost less timing approach.

Yep with the glide. Im running a ptc converter 4kish stall. No idea on race weight. I've done small weight reduction. Front sway, little heat shields under the car, pulled passenger seat etc and the stock rear is still going strong!

Damn. Thats awesome! Any idea on injector duty cycle? Those things have to be maxed with one pump and stock lines at that kinda power I'd imagine

95% on that pass. I'm swapping in some 80s this week and either switching to a 044 pump or adding another 255. Not sure yet.

I added another meth nozzle to help as a bandaid. So going to fix that with a bigger pump. Any suggestions on a single 044 intank? Or should I do a new rail setup with bigger lines?

Guess it depends on how much faster youre wanting to go. If youre wanting to hit 8s, I'm guessing you'll need to upgrade the whole system before long, but you seem you do things a little different than most so maybe you can get by on just adding a return line, regulator, those 80lb injectors and just another 255. I'd looked at getting a couple AEM 50-1200 pumps for mine to be able to run E85, but you're running the number I wanna run in my car when it's done. I'm building mine to be a daily driveable car that'll go 10.0s. I have a 5 pt bar to go in mine and I'd like to touch 9s and be done with it. The track here tends to be stringent at times and I'd rather go out and run the car with zero drama.

Sending you a PM

I hold the ls2 corvette stock bottom record so I can get away with running a tad fast every now and then. I have 2 044 pumps and lines already. I would need a rail setup and regulator to upgrade it all. I really didn't think I would get it this fast but the glide swap made a big gain. I def want to do the fuel upgrade though.

How big of a gain?

This sucker is fast for a car that must be over 3,500 with driver, right? Is that converter you're using daily driveable at all?

Can you describe the real world driving differences between the glide and the 4L60? That's a humongous difference in first gear ratios. 1.76 vs 3.06. How much did the low speed and part throttle manners change with the powerglide as compared to the 4L60? Obviously it's fast as hell at full throttle with either transmission. Does it feel sluggish or slow at all at low speeds?

I recently swapped from a 350th to a glide and don't mind the street manors at all. I found with the 350th it was hard to hold the car back and get it to leave on boost then it whould spool and first gear was very short and I needed to shift. now I don't have any track times yet but the car feels faster at all speeds. I feel I can leave with boost and hook the car better with my fast spooling smallish turbo.

car is a 6.0 with tc78 turbo
pg with 3000 stall and t brake
3.23 gear 28" tire
car ran 10.54 with 350th on 10# @3600 lbs.

I was told this glide has the upgraded gearset which is a 1.8x I believe but can't confirm that. As far as town manners. It feels the same except goin up a hill slow the stall really shows then. I've been on a few 30 plus mile trips and at 70 mph I'm cruising around 2500-2600. But in town at 35 mph and under it's not bad at all just use low gear until traffic is clear or no red lights. I love it. I had to get a drive shaft made and that was it. I used the stock shifter and shifter cable and made my own xmember. Mine has a brake but now I can make all the boost I want on the foot brake and I'm not as worried about the stock ten bolt like I was with the 4l60. The launches with it were a lot more harsh.

Any updates on this turbo? 146mph out of a $400 turbo is badass!
