20psi on a 60mm will probably be a bit warm(~300* maybe) but as long as it's not touching the radiator hose, you'll be fine.

Just get some T4 flanges made with round holes to suit the pipe size you are using.

I did this with mine, and it works perfectly...everything fits, it's neat...and the hole inside the scroll ends up round anyway. Plus it also avoids large diameter and shape changes.

And of course it would be completely pointless and daft to use a divided scroll, when no part of the actual manifold prior to the turbo is divided.

Yeah I only bought the divided housing on these turbos because the deal I got on them. I was skeptical about the circular flanges because I couldn't find too many people using them so I just got some 2.25 to 3 inch transitions and am working on that now.

If you're stuck with the divided housing, then opening up to match the flange would be better. A round pipe going into the divided T4 housing wouldnt make sense. Smoothing the divided would probably be a good call either way though

Although new housings are only around $125 each anyway

So now that I have the pieces formed for my T4 flanges, instead of slipping the rectangle tubing into the flange, and welding it inside the flange, can I just butt it up to the flange nice and flush and weld it from the outside? Seems the more logical route as long as it fits perfectly.

I got them nice and formed, but need to grind down the two high spots for a perfectly flush fit. Does this sound ok, or does it need to slip into the flange for some reason?

What size turbine wheel are you using ?

If using the smaller 68mm turbine wheel

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Borg-Warner-T4-88-A-R-S300-Turbocharger-Turbine-Housing-68mm-/290955528808?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43be4d0a68&vxp=mtr
Or here at a higher price, covering both turbine wheel options

Looks like you've got it sorted anyway, looks like neat work.
