Detailed response

The difference between the P-1SC and the P-1SC-1 is both the impeller and compressor housing. The P-1SC is a straight cut impeller and shares the common street trim 6.25" exducer where the P-1SC-1 is a smaller 5.25" exducer with a helical spun impeller. If you really get into specs you can consider the P-1SC-1 a mini version of the D-1SC impeller. The P-1SC-1 is technically a better supercharger than the P-1SC because of its impeller design. Other than that they are the same. (Bearings, Step-up Ratio, etc)

I agree, not too many dealers trying to talk customers out of upgrading parts these days.

Oh he said I could go to an F1.

And there you have it.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the exducer and I wonder why they would upgrade the impeller just to downsize that?

So he wasn't trying to talk you out of a sale, he was trying to up-sell you from the D1 to the F1...lol

I got the same type of advice from Steve Morris with regards to porting my D1. The tech said that if I'm not restricted, for slightly more than the cost of the upgrade, I could sell my D1 and buy an F1 for nearly the same amount of money as it would be to port the D1, and I'd make more power with the F1, which he would happily sell me.

What are you spinning your blower at for that boost... I ordered my pulleys and I will be at 65k rpm on my p1sc-1 at 6500 rpm.... I think my motor will be good for 6800 shifts... At 7k rpm, I am at 70k rpm....

I think I may have to keep it under 6700 Rpm... But you know, if you are racing, and its for all the marbles, I am pushing it to 7k.... LOL... It on a stock based, ls6 383 build... I literally want to max the p1sc-1 out and then some..

I dont even know if its worth upgrading to a d1... I have a nitrous also, I will spray at least a 125 shot... So.... Nitrous is the only way to make it act like a turbo car, to bring up that torque... Also, I can leave without dumping it... I dont know why more guys dont use nitrous, with the blower set ups... When I had my stock set up, making 430/430.. I inched c5 z06s, but when I sprayed it.. 10 car lengths. And I dint have to leave like an animal... I spray mine after the blower, before the coolers.. It takes time to hit the motor, but its really soft on the motor, and it cools my coolers. Its not worth spaying by the intake.. Hits to hard....
