What year truck coils work the best? I have 2 sets of 2000 model coils, and before I clean them up and paint them, thought I'd ask. These are the round coils if that makes a difference.

Might of answered my own question. Remembered something about square coils, the round I have came off of a 99 truck, 5.3. After searching the garage I found the one's off the 2000 6.0 and they are square. The brackets look like crap, big and ugly, but I guess I'll use these.

its been said the round ones were better, but I don't know if anyone has ever actually done any testing, either by checking ohms thru them or a voltage ck
I read once the diff in looks were diff suppliers, but who knows, lol

Found a article where they were tested with pics. According to it my round coils with the heat sink on top are better. My square off my 6.0 are the less favored LS1's. At least my round one's have a better looking bracket.
