Is the D1SC generally louder than the P1SC ?

I just got done putting a D1SC on my 99 Camaro SS and it is very loud at idle. I would have to say it is about twice as loud as the P1SC, but that is my opinion. At 55mph you can't even hear it. I can try to get a sound clip of it. If you want one PM me. Thanks!
They are not always the same, my newer P1SC is way louder then my older P1SC, I have heard quiet D1SCs also. So I guess if you get a quiet D1SC it wil not be as load as a noisy P1SC or the other around

but it did get less noisy when the weather warmed up,or maybe i just got used to it either way i love the way it sounds

It is pretty loud, particularly the whistle at idle. That's the ATI-supplied BOV too. I have some gear noise, but nothing that sounds out of the ordinary. Outside of my garage, it isn't quite as loud as it comes across in that clip - but you won't be sneaking in late at night undetected either!

Not to hijak the thread or anything, but what is it that makes a turbo or a supercharger system loud? Is it the size of the unit? The Wastegate? The Bov? The placement of the unit: i.e. is a front or rear mounted turbo louder? Are twins louder than a big single? Are turbos louder or are s/c's louder? Does the exhaust setup make any given setup make more FI related noise?
