The kit came with a 3.33 inch pully for the blower
The question that psj asked me was how big was the crank pully. Thats what i did not know.

Any ways what can i do to my current set up to get more boost. And where do i get the parts. .. Thanks

we
need
to
know what size the crank pulley is, maybe go to their website or email jsnee@vortechsuperchargers.com.

LS1 kits come with 8.00 crank pulleys and LT1 kits do not.

So I am assuming that once you find out the size of the crank pully you may recomend getting a larger one. Has anyone done this on an lt1 ??

Im Aiming for 8-9 psi. Since its a stock bottom end i know she cant take much more.

I sent an email to vortech and they said they they have 6.66 inch crank pulley that would get me another 2-3 lbs of boost. But they said they do not know what size belt I would need becasue they have never sold this type of combo before.
Any one have any input on belt size.

Thanks PSJ for the email link.

What size crank pulley do you have now?

I have two LT1 buddies who I can check with who have done anywhere from 6 to 15psi.

I've never understood how some guys see 13lbs. with the G. I saw 5lbs. with the 2.75 on a 418 C.I.D.. I saw 6lbs. on the 346 with the 3.15 and just headers. I think the 9lb. claim for the system is misleading. I never knew about the smaller crank pulley, thats interesting.

I still have not figured out what size crank pully i have. All i know for a fact is that it has to be smaller than 6.66 inches. Looks like i will just have to buy this new pulley , hook it up and then find out how short the belt it and order one that is longer. Not the best method but looks like the only way to do this as of now

Did you buy the blower new as a full kit? Then get the order # and then we can look it up.

Be very carfull with the SQ versions they can't take the abuse that the spur cut gear units are taking. Just a warning. You might look into a larger charger maybe a t-trim like SC-Mecham-ws6 is suggesting. Good luck!

Email zbass28@aol.com and he should be able to tell you what crank pulley you have.

He has a 355ci LT1 with heads, cam, 9:1, FAST b/b piggback, M6, and S Trim pulleyed for 10-15 psi.
