Default Procharger Dyno #'s

Was able to start tuning the Procharger today.
1st baseline pull:

413.8 RWHP - 400.7 RWTQ

AFR started @ 13:1 then jumped up to 14:1 @ 7000
Got the AFR down to 12:1 and pulled a

451.4 RWHP - 514.8 RWTQ

But still went lean. 13:1 @ 6000, 14:1 @ 7000
That was it. Time to get more fuel

Didn't play with the timing. Left it @ 17*. I was happy with the HP. More than I expected with High Compression Heads and 5# of boost. With some more fuel and timing, maybe I can squeeze out another 10-15.

Time to figure out why am I running lean

38 lb injectors.
Still on the stock pump. I though it would be good enough, seeing I was able to hit 486 rwhp on N20 and not go lean.

Would 42's be enough?? According to EFI my DC was 171%

I'm assuming by the torque your converter was unlocked - thats not bad power through an unlocked converter. How high is your compression? Z06's are 10.6:1 and get away with 7-8psi..

Yes, I was going to lock it. But no point in it since I was running so lean.

My CR is about 10.8

Just watch for knock, 10.8 is doable. You would have picked up ~25rwhp locked on the dyno and your RPM wouldnt be off. I'm sure you noticed your RPM on the dynojet graph was higher then the tach read, with an unlocked converter it will read a few hundred rpm high. I would pick up some 42s and at least an inline pump, I think with a little more timing and enough fuel you will be at 500rwhp.

Never got any knock. Even with it so lean. I was planning on locking it to be able to tune it better. But I was more worried about the fuel.

You think 42's is enough? I plan on getting a pump. My FP went from 60 psi to 40 on the dyno. Any other reason I would run so lean? I added about 30% on PE just to make sure that wasn't it. No change.

If I hit 500 RWHP. Then I would be happy.

since the fp went down....you are running out of fuel flow...a single 340 should suffice.

I am using an ATI inline pump and 42s, I would hit 490 locked right now (if my lockup worked) and I can make the a/f 10:1 if I want to so it should be plenty for 500rwhp.

I would put some sort of better pump in there, I only drop from 59 to 54 so you need more pump. The injectors you have would get you close but I would go to a set of 42s to be safe.

Gt the idle dialed in any better?

What were your DC on the 42's? Which is better an inline or intake? Opps, I'll search on that one.

I'll start checking into a pump. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something else like the MAF.

Still weird that I can keep the AFR @ 12:1 when I was spraying N20 with 486 rwhp.

Still working on the idle, but yes it is getting better. Thanks.

I am hitting 85% with the injectors at 54psi right now, I could do a rising rate regulator but to be honest I'm not investing a real lot more time or money into the supercharger/fuel system so it will work for now. I am happy with what the car runs and with a little n2o it will step it up even more

An in tank pump is better IMO but I'm not too thrilled with the solutions for the plastic tanks. I had this ATI inline pump (about a 5 minute install) left over from an ATI kit I put on for someone else and they didnt want to use it.

I have seen stock fuel pumps with wet kits get 500rwhp with a safe a/f, doesnt make sense but boost is a little different on injectors. If you could keep your FP up the 38s would maybe do it but why cut it close.

BSFC is different with a blower than it is with a NA motor with a shot of NOS.

That's why you were ok then but not now.

5 minute install for an inline. Nice. But your right, an intank is better. I dread dropping the tank.
And 42's will be on the way.
Thanks.
