Well, we got the turbo in today as well as the downpipe, getting everything to fit required some massaging and cutting lol
Turbo is a T72 .81A/R
Hidden pretty well i must say

Well we got everything back together besides the exhaust to the muffler and the front end back on, but it fired right up on the first try so that was exciting!!!

Looks like you picked the small turbo, why did you change your mind ? I would have gotten the t76 .96, everything from china runs on the small side

That was a fast build. Get those injectors and get it tuned. I'm curious to see the results. I would think you should meet your goals without a problem.

Its a T76 with a .81 AR, decided since its most likely not going to be a permanent turbo cause im not sure of the reliability of Ebay turbos lol we'll start there and see what the spooling characteristics are and if the turbo takes a dump, then we"ll know where to go from there

Yea should be interesting getting it tuned efficiently and hopefully we'll see some decent numbers

Nice build.

So finally got the car up and running after a tuning hiccup in the software that made the 60# injectors flood the engine and were unable to get it to lean out, but finally got it sorted out and the car started up first try!!
This is with a ghetto rigged exhaust first startup vid until i can get it welded!

This is a 25-90mph pull starting in 2nd gear @ 6psi conservatively tuned...The car starts getting into boost about ~2400rpms and pulls like a freight train to redline!

Big thanks to:
ddnspider for working on the build with me a little after work each day and also for his Excellent tuning knowledge! Hes now tuned a Supercharged and Turbocharged car for me as well as his own Turbo and NA cars, and i couldn't be happier!

Rick Crain Engineering, only welded my exhaust up on this project but if anybody is in the Spacecoast area in FL, hes highly recommended in performance builds and custom fabrication!

Thanks also to those who worked with us in the tuning section to get the pcm/injectors hiccup straightened out!

Hopefully track numbers to come soon as well as dyno results!
Thanks for everybodys input during the build!

That was a quick build? What did you end up cost wise on everything? and what kind of power are you hoping to see?

Based on what were seeing in the tuning software were guessing ~ 500rwhp

The old Phamspeed stuff sometimes gets a bad rep cause it goes under the K-member, but you cannot beat the ease of install and better than stock plug access. Oh, and BTW.....we fit the stock fans in the stock location so the car won't have cooling issues.

As far as power, I have hardly any timing in the car as he wants to keep things on the conservative side since its a stock motor. We still need to do some long pull logs to make sure nothing goes lean in high gear, but the MAF isn't maxxed just yet so its making good power for low boost and a basically stock longblock other than springs and pushrods. I'll let him chime in on cost, but I think you'd be hard pressed to build a rearmount setup with stock exhaust for what we did the front mount for.

Well its been a while since ive updated the thread, been crazy busy working my life away lol....
been driving the car without any major issues (knock on wood) for a couple months now, however i did start having a oil pan gasket leak and blew out a header gasket, guess i have just to much crank case pressure happening so ill be adding some vents.... other then that its been driving great and pulls HARD... took it to the track on street tires to have some fun, not looking for crazy numbers cause its not built for the track at all... so on street tires and very limited traction i did a 2.0 60ft and 12.7 @ 113
not to bad, i know theres a ton more in it but on street tires, very conservative tune(11* timing) im pretty happy with it! Much faster on the street top end!
Im not able to log boost right now so im sure that would help it not dog off the line so much being able to tune it better... Anybody have suggestions on the easiest way to set it up so i can log boost? Thanks
