Default How loud is a M90?

I'm thinking about throwing a m90 on my ls1 91 z28. It would only be for the fun factor. And obviously, the whine plays a big part in that.

I read that you can make the M90 louder by welding or filing the silencer ports, along with possibly porting the supercharger. I am willing to do whatever I can to increase the whine and performance.

With that said,
My car has a big cam, longtubes, no cats, with dual cutouts. Will I be able to hear the whine with the cutouts open?

Man, i THINK there was a guy that used one or maybe two M90s on his car one time??? Its been a long while. Do a quick search for M90, or supercharger on the cheap or something, he had some vids too. I'll see if i can find it. Trying to remember that guys name now.

I know it's small. The problem is clearance, I just really want to stick with the stock hood. I'm afraid anything bigger wouldn't fit. But the whine, fun factor, and having a lsx swapped supercharged thirdgen, seem to outweigh the performance gains for me.

JAX04, I've looked through pocket's threads before, and his builds are what is inspiring me to undergo this project.

I don't know about the 90, but I have a 112 on my ls swapped car and it's a screamer when it's making full boost. I love it.

fill in the triangles in the bottom of the M90. if you want it really loud - leave 2 small holes in the ports on the rear most portion.

I used solder and some aluminum plate with a little JB weld for smoothing it all out.

Whine when getting on it is very addictive. Perpetual whine like my sidemount systems had gives you a migraine. Its all about TB placement. Before the SC give the classic roots whine when you accellerate and everyone goes crazy. After the SC makes perpetual noise thats annoying

The GM M90's are not what you want. Look for an early 90's thunderbird SC. GM units are massive and have quite a bit of useless casting that makes a tight package next to impossible
