Default Updated signature, any thoughts?

Hey guys, pulled the trigger from my cammed, full bolt on 5.3 to the setup in my signature..
Seeking 15-18psi... What rwhp do you all think I'll be at?
My biggest concern is that most of the races we do in my hometown are 1/16th of a mile sand drags... Shifts are too quick and I dont know how the BOV/Turbo will handle that.. I am talking about 5.5sec race in 4wd Low.. That was my record on my cammed 5.3 on 150hp shot of spray...
About the tune, do i just get tuned (Nic D) in 2wd and pray to God my truck holds up together whenever I get to race in 4LO??

Thanks guys!

Why would quick shifts affect a BOV or a turbo?

the only problem that i see with the turbo is that you're not really putting much of a load on the motor in 4LO

Why not? Engine pretty much stays in the 4000> rpm range.. Or well, thats how it was with my 5.3..
I dont know man, thats why I ask, never seen a turbo truck in person to see how it performs in 4Lo in the sand..
from 1-2nd gear goes in about a second, truck hasnt moved 10' off the line before it shifts to 2nd..

Kind of like tractor pulling. The gearing is really low there. Not much of a load at all.

More load equals more boost and faster harder spool.

More load means exactly what and what are the circumstances? If you are traction limited in first gear for instance you will not build boost as fast because the throttle is not opened up.

I was being sarcastic. It seems like a lot of times people will say that turbos need load to build boost as if that is some kind of insight. The ultimate in no load is the engine not running. Turbo not turning. No kidding. The only thing I see in your set up is manual vs automatic. Assuming you lift the throttle between shifts, you will loose some spool.

O no, I have an automatic tranny, 4L80, least thing I will do is take my foot off the pedal..
So, I will see a lot of boost in the whole race right?

With auto it doesn't much matter I don't guess but I say things based on my experience with manual. Guess I should consider we are talking auto here. And yes a manual car with a 4.10 gear will build less boost at a set rpm than say a 3.42 car. I've experienced both. That's where I was getting that. Also more traction will help psi levels. Spinning ramps boost slower than hooking. If you using a manual style controller or just spring pressure that is.

doesn't matter if its 4lo or 4 hi... If your foot is stuffed into the firewall and you are shifting gears, it will spool.
