Default Anyone have the CBR kit? Results? What turbo are you running?

Just looking for any info from people that have the CBR single turbo kit. I have it, but have yet to install it. What's the biggest turbo you guys have used with it? I have the On3 7875. I'm using a forged 347 and going for 700whp, but would like to get the most possible and I'm worried this turbo may be maxxed at 700.

I had that kit with a TC78. Never pushed it much past 600 rear wheel. That was at 10-12 pounds. Best my car ran was a 10.5 at 130mph with a 1.6 60ft. It had a lot more left in it, but my stock short block wasn't up to the task. My car is the silver Formula on the CBR site. I believe the white Camaro on the site made over 700 with a Turbonetics 7875 on a 5.3.

Your turbo and engine combination will be the limiting factor. The piping whether polished stainless, or some raggedy looking pipe, the car and turbo don't care. Your engine build, intercooler, and tuner will make or break it!

Did you blow the stock bottom or just pull it to upgrade? What where your over all impressions on the kit?

I cracked the ringland on cylinder 4 and lost compression on 1,3,and 6. The engine had a lot of N2O through it though before I went turbo. The kit was great. I would have kept it, but one of my friends beat me up for it all summer so I finally sold it to him. It's a good excuse for my next setup to be twins!
