Default 5.3 turbo build

So it's almost time to pull out the little 222/224 cam 5.3 bolt on and go bigger..I I am really wanting to go turbo. I know the 5.3 stock internals are strong but if I'm going to build it I'm going to build it right and to last. I've kinda of came up with a parts list off the top of my head..

5.3 iron block.

Weisco forged dish pistons
Stock crank hopefully or aftermarket.
Scat h-beam rods
Clevite main, cam, & rod bearings
Arp main bolts
Ported oil pump.
Undecided on the cam,
Double roller timing set
( Heads)-
Either wanna use my heads I have now and port them or get a set of ported 243"s
3 angle valve job
Roller rockers
Arp head studs

( Exhaust)
Longtube headers undecided the brand yet
American thunder true dual 3" exhaust

(Intake)
Holley mid rise
With 102mm throttle body

(Fuel)
Holley fuel rails
Siemens delka 80lb injectors
Walbro fuel pump

(Drivetrain)-
Built 4l60e or 4l80e
3600 stall
B&M Tranny cooler
B&M shift kit.
4:11 gears.

( Turbo)
I really need help in choosing a good turbo kit that won't break the bank, thought about Huron speed, or trick performace. I would be happy with making 700 or 800 rwhp.. Any advice or help would help.

AWESOME! Plz keep us up to date on how she holds up.

As far as turbo "kit". Id build my own and save hundreds. However! if you wanted to buy a bad *** kit thats ready to rock, Hit up John @ huron speed for sure and be done with it!

700-800 whp is a good bit of power.. Im sure some peeps will come in and say "why forge it".... "itll hold up just fine in stock form"...

You are doing it right, so with that in mind, i'd probably pick a turbo that was suited to potentially higher power. A borg s476 comes to mind from John as well. I'd ALWAYS recommend a T6 turbo as with the right combo, it'll spool fine and far more upgradable.

Also, **** the 60e and go straight to the 80

Good luck bro. Subd for your progress. I could use some motivation on my stalled C10 project.
