Old stuff went 135 crossing at 5500. The crank is pinned and aftermarket balancer. I set all of that up with the heads off using a degree wheel and indicator. Is there a better way to verify timing? That's what it feels like...not enough timing.

Make sure you're not low on trans fluid, it'll do exactly what your experiencing and not totally obvious right at first.

At 8.6:1 with a 60mm at 13lbs you went 135? If so thats really impressive. Motor had to be making alot of power NA. Was 3200lbs the weight with you in the car ready to race?

I'd just throw however much boost you planned to run at it and go from there. It will get your RPM up and help all around. I'd also consider 6500+for a shift points. (esp. with a slippy converter) I picked up ton doing that with my 5.3. That manifold you are running is good to 7k! If your only shifting at 6k the LS6 manifold would probably perform better.

try to run some tractor fluid (john deer hygard etc etc) in the trans to tighten that thing up or send the converter out. The tractor fluid is more of a band aid but at least you can see if it makes a diff or not. 15% is pretty big.

I will just take it to work and make it right. We build transmissions and converters. I had to start somewhere to get the car running. I guess we over shot it a little. That still doesnt explain the engine not wanting to run off the line. I would think 11psi on the brake would get me a great launch. It has to be something in the tune. My old th400 converter was tight as hell down low and it left decent. This converter is pretty much the same thing. We just loosened it up a little. If the engine would run like it should this thing would do a 1.3xx 60ft no problem. I'm getting a new fp regulator tonight since the pressure is dropping under boost. Gotta start somewhere to solve the problems. Thanks for the help guys.

The car is actually 3150 with me in it. It did run great. Torque monster with the small charger. This is what I get for trying to go faster. LOL

What's your voltage doing during the run? Looks like you are loosing fuel pressure as the rpm's go up. Do you have some belt slip?

From what I can see from the logs you posted your acceleration enrichments look fine. I will look over the log you sent me when I get home to see if there is something out of the ordinary. My car is about the same weight as yours and it went 127mph using 338lbs of fuel with a similar 60' on 8lbs of boost.

Volts are pretty steady at 14.2. It does have a sharp dip at the shifts down to around 13.

Did you try the car off the footbrake?

Yes I did. Lugs along for about 100ft then takes off. Makes no sense to me, with a loose converter it should be hanging the rpm up high but not putting on speed. It acts like its too tight. Like its gear bound out of the gate. I do have my fuel regulator before the rails and the backs of the rails plugged. The return is before the rails. I usually see the fuel feeding into the rails and regulated after the injectors. Mine is plumbed different. Think my injectors are starving?

Are you seeing a rise in fuel pressure that matches your boost? I may have missed it. Also I weight almost 600 lb more and footbrake with one pound boost the Same 60'. I have Same transmission and rear gear. I have 28" tire. I think that is hurting you. I will look at your logs when I get home.

I checked my log from friday. I had 421lb/hr. That was with 16lb boost with 11.5afr. Looking atthe log the only thing I saw was your drop in fuel pressure with shifts and the real slow build in rpms off the brake. Look at the timing more around those cells

Once I leave off the brake the boost goes to 12.5 and creeps to 13.5 over a run. The fuel pressure is going from 74 psi right off the brake down to below 60psi at the top of first gear. Then back up to mid 60's and back down in each gear. It should stay flat around 72-74 running 58-60 base and 13 psi of boost steady.

I want editing my last post as you were typing yours. The fuel pressure is the odd thing for sure.
