someone said Stock only has to run a 9.6 to win if the other guy even were to hit an 8.50-i don't understand how it all works, averages or something
are they still in a rainout

He is running a 8.50 index class. This means you cannot run faster than 8.5 or you breakout just like bracket racing on a dial only everyone in the class has the same dial. So with that said its not like the 2nd place guy can go run in the 7's to try and drop his 5 day average. Stock48 is basically dominating his class by a large margin.

I think the cars caught up with the class rules.

I can't believe how the guy in the tower never even mentioned the car. It was number one in the class from day one and he talked about the cars before him and after him, but no love for the black Nova except for the time at the end. No excitement, no build up, nada. I guess if he was doing wheelstands or wrecking the car it would have been more exciting for the crowd?

Great job on a sick fast and consistent car!
