Default best turbo kit

Im looking to turbo my bone stock z28. Instead of going the h/c/i route i will be going turbo. Looks like the cheapest most complete kit is the on3 kit? Have been looking at the one that keeps ac. Anybody have any actual experience with the kit? Would like to see pros and cons as well as see how well they hold up to dd'ind. Other recommendations would be great as well but haven't found another bang for the buck kit then this one.
Thanks!

hit up the search feature... i have spent months doing the same research and there are all many things to think of with every build. No one has the same wants or needs, so you can look through all the threads and see which ideas you want to go with.

i have the on3 non a/c kit. i was pretty impressed with the actual parts. the instructions for everything tho wasnt all that great. its pretty straight forward tho after you think about it. but its not just buy a turbo kit and go, you have to consider fuel and other goodies that you need. i went ahead and did cam,and all the other stuff. you will need valve springs imo. lots of hidden extra cost that will add up. my cost after everything was right around 4.5k. hope this helps you!! but you will love going turbo. good luck

I just finished up an A/C build, here is my build thread -
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...long-read.html

Loving it, takes a bit to get use to the burst of power when the turbo kicks in. My Toyo Tq's can't hold at all.

Rawr256 i literally have the same combo as you just only stage 1 from tick. i was wondering if anyone else had the only getting 5lbs of boost from the 7lb spring issue. did you ever get it on the rollers?

Im just looking to be above 500rwhp with room to grow. Already have ls9 cam with upgraded springs. I kno i will need to address the fueling issues but plan on doing that regardless. I have been doing lots of reasearch and honestly haven't seen a more complete kit then this. It just seems to good to be true honestly and wanting to see the build quality and how its holding up in real life with people who actually drive their cars

Best in thread title but cheapest in body of text.

FYI

Best=/=cheap

With that said there are some decent affordable kits out there that will make good power. on3 and huron might be the two main ones to consider.

Dont get your heart set on just the on3 kit. Ask around. If you have to stay stock of a couple extra months to get better stuff is well worth it.

Huron Speed has a very good reputation around here and a lot of happy customers. They're coming out with a new AC retaining single turbo kit soon. You may want to touch base with them to explore that option.

Not yet, I could be wrong with the 5lb spring pressure, that is going strictly off what I get for map readings on my scanner. Haven't plugged it into a gauge or anything yet to get a true reading.

Depending on how my time goes this next weekend and my buddies at the shop I may take it over there for a few pulls and playing. FWIW I walked my buddies 475rwhp G8 GT Firehawk pretty bad, well after I launched from an idle that is.
