Default Vortech V2 Question

Has anybody converted a V2 Vortech to the V3 Vortech. OR can it be done. I really don't want to fool with my oil pan for the drain line. Didn't know if you can remove the feed and drain line, plug and fill with their oil. Any help greatly appreciated..

IDK if it can be converted but it wont work by just plugging the inlet and outlets as the V3 has an oil slinger inside it and the V1-2 dosent. You might be able to drill the front cover for a return line if the balancer allows enough room to do so. Whats the setup going on?

JRENIGAR,
Its going on my 2007 Avalanche with a 5.3
I didn't realize it took all this work.. I'm use to the ProCharger
Setup.. Anyway already having this I don't want to cut a hole in the oil pan.
But the front cover a good idea.. Any ls timing cover should work..correct
The help greatly appreciated..

I have only used the oil pan for an oil return myself. I have seen pics of front covers used and the poster said it worked great. I would think any front cover would work as long as it was tapped near the bottom and the cam sensor stuff isnt in the way on your gen4 block.

I drilled and tapped the pan per Vortech's installation instructions when I had their original intercooled V9-G trim kit back in the day. It was a 9/16" hole in the drivers front side of the pan. A 90 deg fitting threaded into the pan and pointed straight up and connected to a black rubber hose that came off the bottom fitting of the blower. You can go to their website and lookup the manual and view it page by page to see what Im talking about if needed.
