If you can get to 3200... with a 2 step or a brake...

Jarrett's cams are proven performers...

My stage 2 has posted gains as high as 90 rwhp over the LS6/9, the stage 3 has shown 120...

Basically anything you choose will be an improvement over the stock camshaft and will more than likely result in gains of more than 50 rwhp.

If I had the part # from the converter I could be more assistance. Also some rpm drop data from some good passes will help. If your rpm drop is excessive you could loosen the converter to help stage. However if your rpm drop is average or on the low side I can't say a looser converter will help without killing your efficiency down track. It's a balancing act. A 2 step will definitely help.

I have had customers swap the stock 5.3L truck camshaft for the 217/225 114lsa cam I use predominantly in 5.3's and see reductions in E.T. and gains in MPH as high as .6 tenths and 8mph in the 1/4. Not every combination will respond in the same manner, but reductions in E.T. of .2-.4 tenths and gains in speed of 3-5mph are commonplace.

I have never had anyone go from a LS7 cam to the 217/225 though so I cannot say for certain how much it would improve your E.T. and MPH at the track.

Part #

Datalog. Looks like a 600rpm drop into second. Keep in mind I have an automatic valvebody still..

Yours is the GM245mm core and is tight. You can't stand to loosen it with only 600 rpm drop. A swap to the 9.5 turbo converter can help. You can get it looser down low without giving up any slip. There is another stator and pump configuration you could try in your core but the 9.5 is just superior in every way.
