Never had a problem with it losing power in the summer heat. I'd like to see your dyno numbers showing the loss...sounds like something is wrong.

With 4.10 gears, all that 'instant' power will be useless. Sure, it's cool the first couple times rolling into the throttle and roasting tires, but it becomes annoying rather quickly, and expensive replacing tires.

A D1 procharger will make plenty of torque, and you'll be happy that it keeps pulling as you go up the rpms.

how much power can i safely put to the stock bottom end? the car already has head studs, but its just a stock ls6 bottom end

There is no answer that is right. Some motors have let go at 500rhwp, others have lived at 700 for a while. Whatever you do, put money to the side to rebuild or repair it once it does go.

I agree, it takes talent to drive a PD blower with a steep rear gear. Throttle modulation is key. I ran 4:10's for a couple years on my blower and it was an absolute animal in first and second gear. If you can control yourself it makes for a hell of a street car. 100 series treadware tires help the cause...lol
