Sent you some pics ...
You know this thing will be pretty much totally out of control with 650whp... your right 800+ will be perfect!
What susp out back, 4-link or keeping leaf spring style setup?

The LS stuff is heavy, I hope you can hit that 2300lb goal! My rx-7 started around 2100lbs with the rotary in it. With the 9”/cage/frame supports/turbo and all the go fast goodies it was 2700lbs with an iron 5.3 last I weighed it. I was pretty bummed my “feather light” import weighs about the same as mustang coupe!

Thanks for the pics, I ordered 28" long ladder bars from S&W, this will put my ladder bar crossmember in the perfect place for my main hoop to land on it. I am being super conscientious of weight on this build it's always a trade off with weight vs strength vs cost. I'm running a stock case glide because it's the lightest, aluminum block, lightweight 9" with an aluminum center section, no intercooler, moly cage. even if it weighs 2500 i'll be happy with it.

Got the rad mounted, it's a little afco scirocco rad that I've had for acouple years, looks like it's been mounted in a few cars, cut all the mounting stuff off and made some brackets to mount it on the rad support.
Got my "Tial" 44mm wastegates, ordered these from aliexpress.com for $60 a piece shipped, awesome quality to the point that most people can't tell that they are fake. Mounted them out of the way as much as possible to leave room in front of the engine for other stuff.
Cage work is next.

I get the bends from my local plumbing wholesaler but you can order them from mcmaster carr. These are 2" sch 40 mild steel which is 2" ID .150 wall. It's heavier than using tubing, but the durability is what i'm after, and the bends only cost around $5 a piece.

Just plugging away on the cage, I'm doing a 25.1 cage on it, got most of the front together and I just cut out the rear part the other night so that I can start on the rear frame rails/suspension.
Started on the 16 injector intake also, I plan on running the car on e85 or straight methanol. Each cylinder has a 80lb primary and 160lb secondary, which will run staged of the Ms3 pro.

Thats the $240 cheapo Ebay intake right? I had always though about methanol injection right where you have the injectors. So is the spacing perfect on a standard fuel rail as well? Or did you have to make those rails?

Yes it's the Professional Products intake. The blue rail is a Professional products 10606 fuel rail kit for a sbf, they have the same spacing as a LS and the injectors are straight in the rail so it works, only catch is you have to use "short" injectors in the primarys to clear the second set of injectors. I bought a set of short 80's from racetronix to make it all work.

Have you tried applying any air pressure to the side port of those wastegates yet to see how bad the leakage is past the bushing around the shaft? I have had some Chinese wastegates that were sealed up pretty nicely almost like a genuine Tial (which in my experience are sealed up well, and operate smooth as can be), and at least one that leaks so badly around the shaft that I'm not sure I trust it to function very well... Very curious how the quality control is on these knockoffs.

Couple updates, Got my 28'' ladder bars from S&W, cut out the rest of the floor over Christmas. Narrowed an early 9" housing down to 41.5" flange to flange. ordered 35 spline axles and spool from strange. I picked up a aluminum third member from Speedmaster79 on ebay and I'm just waiting on some bearings and a yoke to put that together but I've been trying to get as much done on the cage before chassis cert day in april. I have a few more bars to finish funny car cage etc. then I'm going to pop the whole cage out finish weld eveything then put it back in the car and start on the sheet metal work.
