Yea I thought about doing one of the 3 jeeps I own. Just didn't want to get into the driveline. Not sure the jeep stuff would take any real power.

Thats a REALLY sweet truck! I don't know what I like better, the big block, or the 5.3 turbo. I am old school, and new. The 5.3 will certainly make it more driveable on a daily type basis, but ya gotta love a old school big block. Very cool project!

Any reason why you didn't turbo the Big Block?

Got the 2 round pegs in the square holes. Just a little more hammering.

Got the one side all tacked up. One more tube on the other, but I gave up after cutting it too short....

Got the other side ready to weld, just need to get a small piece of 2.5" to finish the double slip.

What size tube should I use for the wastegate merge? 46mm.
Guna merge into one gate.

even without boost, I'd run that bitch out of gas all the time. It's like 12 miles to the gas station from my house. I'm thinking about selling the bbc and building a 408 w/billet 84 mm for it. I think it will bolt right up. Just change the cold side. But for now I need to finish this up.

Anyone have any idea what size tube I should use for the wastegate? Just going to run one gate, as I'm not worried about low boost. Low to this truck will be 15-18 what ever it takes to make 700 ftlbs. Hehe

Got the cold side cut and fit. Just need to trim the fan shroud a little and weld her up. Got sick of fighting the clamps. Just snapped a quick pic.

Need to get a better plan for the gate, Going with twin gates.
Thinking about ordering a set of jgs 40mm. I sure that's plenty but figured I ask. Should get back at it Friday. Want to get a bunch of stuff welded up. Letting work get in the way right how. Lol
