Those wheels look great on the car. Purple brakes really look good with that setup also! I have a few questions..

1. What does that thing weigh? Or best guess what it weighs currently?

2. What kind of power do you plan to make?

3. Any plans to take it to the drag strip or street race it?

4. When do you think this thing will hit the road and whats left tell it does?

Thanks! I love the way its turning out, can't wait to get up pipes done and hear exhaust through the tailpipe. In response to your questions,

.1 It's advertised weight was 4800lbs so it's hard to say, the motor is obviously lighter but the trans is a lot heavier
I think there should be a weight savings with the crown vic front-end, the driveshaft, all the cuttin and grinding lol
My guess maybe 200lbs less, I'll get her in a scale

.2 I'm planning on multiple power levels, a hail mary/lots of meth, dyno pull of 900 to????? Figure shouldn't be a problem, people have done it with less.
Id like to have a "street" tune of 650-700

.3 I'll prob take it to the track for fun, but till I get the rear end done, prob don't need to worry about it being "fast" just needs to melt the tire off lol.
Its been built to be a street car, but no reason it can't be fast, main thing will be making people wonder wtf!?

It Will be in the road hopefully within the next 2/3 weeks, it's currently driveable if I make something to connect the throttle cable=)

Well kinda had a shitty night, I put the rest of the interior back in the car, and figured start it up and let it get up to temp, put it in gear move foward, backwards, testing the brakes and steering.
Well I'm happy to report that all those things happend......but what also happened is the friggin power steering line had pin hole leak that shot a 10/12 foot high pressure stream across the firewall, windshield, roof, hood that is on the roof, pass side fender, both doors, and quarter panel!! Oh, and of course all over the floor!
So while it was late and I just wanted to go home, I spent the 45 mins cleaning off the car and cleaning the shop.
So, as I am now washing everything, I needed another bucket of water, so I went out and filled it full, and just as I was about to set it down, the handle broke i, half and said full bucket landed perfectly on my big toe!!! Then as I was finally all cleaned up, I was shut the the lights off and managed to smakmck my head !
Now all that being said I am glad this happened beacause this is shakedown time, I'd rather deal with it now while it's still in the shop
Big toe still hurts.

That story made me laugh! Anyone who builds cars can relate. I'm trying to wrap up a project now and all the little problems get irritating. I just want to drive the damn thing! As I'm sure you do with your Caddy. I can't wait to see this thing rollin' out!

Yep I've had plenty of those days working on cars lol. Seems like once you hurt something you get impatient and then it gets worse. At that point I quit and leave the rest for the next day if possible lol.

So I think this pic. Looks cool, however the reason the wheels are turned is because that happened to be the point at witch I killed the motor because the Exxon Valdez began spraying out of engine

So here's some hot side stuff! Got it routed pretty nice I think. The pass side was the hardest beacause the it's so tight and has a sharp turn that I had to make from two tight bend 90's worked out great! I had originally tried to make it from a 180degree bend, but it turned out like poo. Next challenge will be making a functional merge for the 60mm wastegate, I can see where it should go to stay with the flow of the exhaust, just trying to make sure everything is weldable......
Also, no comments necessary on my horible welds, if you've seen any nice welds on any part of this car, rest assured I didn't do them. I am a grinder, not a welder

Pass side

One down......

And deeeennn......

Thanks, kinda what I was going for, i think people can appriciate the different routing. Made the charge pipe long, just gives it more heat dissapation I figure

I love this build , the wheels look killer. Did you powder coat the brakes? Or paint them?

Painted with metallicast ground coat, then translucent purple, then somthing by duplicolor called clear fx, basically a rainbow/pearl clear coat.
Thanks for the complement on the wheels, they are a relitivly new style (at least for the Capri line if wheels)
Planning on 20x11.5 for the rear end these are a staggered design) when I do it, just want to drive it for a while

gonna dry to finish hot side tonight, working on the waste gate merge right now, making it from the same 2.25 pipe as the rest of hotside, has pretty good flow with up pipes, Between this and the 60'll gate, I don't expect to have boost creep issues.....well see

Nothing lime cutting a big hole ina perfectly good pipe.....

are you gonna route it back into the down pipe or run a screamer pipe?
