Yeah, in the got worse! I ended up pulling the hot side, It needs a little " Tweaking " When it went from tacked Up, to fully welded, the V bands became hard to seal. So I want to address that, as well as re wrap the pipes In The better quality heat wrap that I already have

So for 30 bucks I'm not complaining, it still looks good from the outside, it has been removed /snagged rubbed some metal at times,
So I will replace.

Lightly "soiled" turbo blanket anyone?....

That's a diaper, not a blanket.

Ordered a few more goodies for the car, I didn't change lifters in Last motor, and was never at ease about that decision. So, I have some on the way, also my cheap oil press gauge **** the bed, so I ordered a sportcomp to match some of my other gauges in the car. Been cleaning up wiring and methods of heat shielding in the car, piddly stuff like that

Just scanned your entire thread and "DAMN" , from the humble initial beginning of this build to where you have tsken that caddy has got to be the biggest snowball ive witnessed on tech ! And i say that in the most positive way ! Amazing fab work ! I grew up borrowing my folks 71 sedan deville as a teen and loved that boat. Plenty of " party " room , lol.

Ys
This is fighting me so bad!! All I wanted to do was swap my good clean parts on this old pos high mile motor and be on my way!!
So I got the block all clean and decided I should go ahead and cam swap.....
The cam has a spun bearing that is stuck on camshaft still!! Why is this fighting me all the way!?!?

I feel your pain, brother... It's a test to see if your committed. Or maybe that's, if you should be committed. I can't remember.

So since things keep going sideways, figured I'd post some pics....
The whole cam bearing thing blows my mind, I drove the truck in the shop with great oil pressure........
I call this one "the black heart transplant".....

And since I have some down time......i should come clean about somthing.......

if anyone remembers a few pages back i made a reference to it be "taco night" or "Mexican night" something like that..... and I didn't really elaborate.......
well here it goes.....
.
Two tacos!!

So everyone gather round' for a tale whoa($hit!)..............
So the night started out like any other sat night, just wanted to ride the f' out. Cruised all down town, went to some place that had valet parkig that mysteriously was full when I pulled up.........so went across to our local Ritz carlton who had me leave by the front doors!! Those guys were cool! Anyways left there to head home.
Now keep in mind I had been driving white all night, not like I do when in mexico...... and I was like "I haven't even spun a tire tonight"......well this just has to be made right!
Soooo......almost to the house, not another soul on this closed race course I was on, and the light turned green, I may have used "excessive throttle" second gear shift was violent, and came exactly the same time I was steering around a median on said closed race course, (spool still in the rear)........backend kicked out, now pointed at median which has now doubled as a ramp and caddy is now airborn(bout 3ft)......... and when touch down happened, we were still rolling so i hammered it again ,and wasted no time getting back to the house.......
